Thor the Lone Light in the Darkness

This post in reference to http://ninesisters.wordpress.com/2008/01/05/thor-wouldnt-have-let-this-happen/

Frequently on this blog i have talked about your delusions of applying comic book like to the real world and while i still consider this practice to be illogical, irrational and basically just downright stupid. Today i am going to take a different approach to dismantling your knowledge about the concrete world of our lives and the fantasy world of paper you so desperately cling to.

When you started your blog its initial purpose was to discuss comic books and other forms of, and i believe i quote, geektitude. Besides the fact that geektitude is the stupidest made up word ever(at least come up with something cool like geeklicious or geektastrophy or even quizibuc) to claim these things as the primary purpose of your blog, you commit to have a knowledge of that topic(And if you dont even claim that please go put darwin's greatest principle into action because it will save the human race). For the most part both of you have been good, your topics have been an utter travesty and should not have been placed on the internet but at least the information was correct for the most part. Now, however even the most basic knowledge of the subjsect you claim expertise has slipped through your grasp.

Thor, a marvel standby and Norse god, has been woefully dis characterized. In fact you have painted a false picture of all gods in general. And when i say gods here i mean gods in polytheistic religions because omnipotent monotheistic gods are a whole different category. Gods do not care for the plight of the individual, gods are as ego-centric as they come because lets face it they are a fucking god and why the fuck would they care about individuals when it is the masses that provide the sacrifice to fuel their existence. Thor is the exact same way, he is a cocky, arrogant asshole who care not about the plight of the little man. He does not fight for the people he fight his personal enemies and if he happens to save the world in the process he has only gained more followers. Gods inspire fear and worship, they were meant to be prayed to if you wanted good fortune. All gods have a price they are bought, essentially they are glorified mercenaries who just happen to come wielding phenomenal cosmic powers. To not understand this basic concept of gods and of most superheros even show how unqualified you are to smear your "creativity" all over the internet. Not only do you write on uninteresting, uninspired and useless topic, your information that goes along with them is flawed and incorrect.

Thor would have also craved being the only source of power in the area. He would love the world to plunge into darkness furthering the need for the god of lightning and increasing his power. Gods think of themselves first and their people second. Thor would have relished being your light in the darkness, but would have only given you enough to leave you wanting more. Also the fact that you have need of and call upon your heroes for such mundane tasks is pitiful and boarder-line communist. Heroes, in fiction and in the real world, should only be called upon in times of dire need lest we become too depentdant on them. Power-outages are jobs for men not the gods you have naively put faith into. We do not need to rely on heroes or even other people for everything. This something you fail to see, you want the world handed to you on a silver platter. The flaw in your beliefs is in the oath you so desperately cling to, "In brightest day, In blackest night." The Green Lantern's clearly spells out when they are there to protect us, but where does this help stop. In times of peace the green lantern corps should be out of sight out of mind, because their presence inspires fear of danger that gravitate towards them. Their presence in out daily lives is not necessary, we do not need heroes holding out hand and taking us through every day. Because while it can be helpful, when they are gone we become lost sheep. You became a sheep wandering alone because your precious Thor did not come to your aid. You must learn to escape this hero communism you have found your self in and live your daily life on you own and only call upon you heroes in time of great need. Heroes do not need to live in brightest day they need only to stalk blackest night to make the darkness a little lighter.
